I remember that in my last blog post I complained about the rain, cool temperatures and summer not being summer... so it may seem a bit weird that in the beginning of this one, I am happy about a bit of rain and grey clouds outside my window. But we had summer weather for a while now, and while I really like sunshine and warm temperatures - I don't like heatwaves! It's no fun to sweat all the time and feel like being boiled when leaving the house or opening the window. I know, I complain when summer doesn't show up, I complain when it does, and probably I will complain about the grey sky in a while again ... but for now it is nice. The rain just needs to go away on time for my sightseeing trip to Munich next weekend. It shouldn't be hot, but I also don't want to get wet while exploring Bavaria's capital. It's been a really long time since I last visited it. In fact, I can hardly remember it, but my parents insist that I was there as a child. So, I'm really excited to visit this town for a weekend!
Anyway, not much has been going on in my life lately that I would need to share here, but I am in the mood to make a post, and realized I haven't shown my mail pictures in a while. So let's just do that. :)
To start, I want to show off my newly created writing place. I think I excitedly mentioned it in most of the letters I have written lately, so why not add pictures to the excited rambling? It's cozy and I surprisingly enjoy to sit and write there. And there may be some trips to Ikea ahead to make it a bit more colourful.

My newly acquired letter holder |
Yes, I do realize it is actually a napkin holder, and there are similar things out there that are very pretty and actually say things like "letters". But .. I got it for 1,50 Euros and couldn't resist this bargain, while the ones meant for mail were much more expensive than those meant for napkins.. And it does do the job..

Desk drawer of shameful addictions.... |
And I might have gone a bit overboard with my envelope making lately, but it is soo relaxing. Don't think I ever need to buy envelopes again.. And now let's move on to the actual mail pictures!

I personally can understand you regarding the heatwave, Sandra, as we have started the third week with heatwave today herer!! I am very tired and easily in a bad mood and stressed due to heat, I hate the sweating thing and I feel half asleep while at work as I sleep very badly at night, hehehe. So I just would love some rain here, pleeease!!! And I wish you a wonderful time in Munich next weekend!! I do really hope you enjoy the city and are free of rain while there!! It's funny as it's just a year ago I was there myself!!!
ReplyDeleteI guess comparing to the heatwave in Spain, I could hardly complain about the heat in Germany, as you have to put up with much more extreme temperatues! I'm sure I would just melt to a puddle of sweat in Madrid.. Hopefully you can get some cooler temperatures and rain soon too!
DeleteDo you recommend any places to visit in Munich? I haven't much planed yet, only the obvious attractions like the Nymphenburg castle, the view from Peterskirche, old city centre, Englischer Garten .. But if there are any places that you especially liked, I'd love to get recommendations! :D
What an organized desk! If my cat got lost in my room, no one would be able to find her :/ I am a very messy person, and have a messy mind! ^_^ That's why I am good at rambling on my letters, too. A lack of self-discipline, total chaos and pensive mood in writing. The fact is that I don't even have a desk for six months. All I have is our kitchen table, and a shoe box where I keep my letters. I am happy to see you replied my letter! Looking forward to hearing from you *_*
ReplyDeleteWell, I can't say yet how long the desk will look that organized .. Often things in my apartment stay like that for a while when it is new and I'm still excited, but then my usual chaos slowly starts to creep in... But I'm trying to make an effort to have a more organized apartment. Who knows, maybe I'll have a more organized mind then? ;P It certainly helps that the desk has drawers where I just throw in the writing stuff that usually lies everywhere, so I have hope for keeping the organized state, Hopefully you'll have a desk or another cozy writing place again soon, after your move! :) Will you be able to take all your letters with you?
