Well, now that I created it and started to understand how Blogspot works (it took me a ridiculously long time to figure it out - computer stuff can make me feel so much like an 80-year-old!), I guess I should also use it. Only, I don't have a clear idea of what to use it for yet. Maybe showing off my incoming and outgoing mail, as I love to look at that on other blogs. Or share my book revviews? My occasional photography? We'll see... But I at least felt like sharing that the blog exists. ;)
There wasn't a lot of incoming and outgoing mail this week. I'm very good at keeping my pile small at the moment, and I hope to keep it this way! :) But I'll share what I received and send while I try to figure out how to link pictures to a blog entry.
A very nice and long letter from Brigitta in Hungary. And I love bats, so the stamp is great!
A letter and postcards that went out to Elena in Spain yesterday. I had expected my writing mood to be gone after my hospital visit, but it was very active this week and made me finish this letter much faster than I expected. I guess I rambled a lot, so I hope it is enjoyable ;)
And to test all the functions this site offers - here comes a song.. ;) First I didn't like it much, but the radio kept pushing it on me several times a day, and somehow I grew to like it, especially the lyrics. Now it is an earworm stuck in my head and I catch myself humming it way too often
So, welcome to my new spur-of-the-moment-blogging-adventure! ;)
Sandra. ♡ You have a blog! How cool is that?! I'm very happy. And be sure that you just found a devoted reader ;) Your letter to Elena looks... simply wonderful. This is this kind of letter that everybody of us, penpallers would love to get, I guess. :) If it comes to my blog... do you mean the first envelope? I got it from my friend - Nina. And she made it out of a calendar. :) So maybe try to find these big calendars with pictures. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment, Edii! :) And I'm happy to have found a reader, although I'm not sure yet how this blogging thing will work out for me. It's the first time I'm giving it a try, so time will tell if I'll stick with it or not :D
DeleteYes, I meant the first envelope. Somehow it never occured to me to use my old calenders, but this actually is a very good idea. I'll sure give that a try! :)
Hi Sandra, you have found another reader, hehe. I can only agree with Edii, what a beautiful long letter! Do you live in the Bayerischer Wald? I have once been to Bodenmais. 😊
ReplyDeleteYay, another reader! <3 I think one of my secret worries about creating a blog was the possibility that nobody would read it, so it is nice to know that people actually do! :D
DeleteNo, I've only been on a short vacation in this area in January and bought I bunch of postcards while I was there. Coincidentally, I also was in Bodenmais :) But I live near Würzburg.
Hi Sandra :-)
ReplyDeleteI also thought about having a blog several times, but I absolute don´t know how it works and it would take me Ages for one entry I think *g* Good that you found out how it works :-) You are in my faves now, so you have three readers for sure :-P
I liked reading it and I am sure Elena will be very happy about your long letter :-)
Best wishes!
Rebecca (near Hannover :-))
Hi Rebecca! Yay, another reader!! :) After I got more used to the website, the blogging thing turned out not to be as complicated as I first thought, so maybe you should give it a try :)
